What's New in Nameless
Hello everyone! A lot has been going on with Nameless lately, so we though we'd post sort of a "state of the guild" news item to let everyone know what's happening. I promise I'll try to be brief for once!
Here are the news items:
- There are plans in the works to shift the concentration of the guild in a more progression-oriented direction. This doesn't mean we're becoming "hardcore", but we'll be taking raid progression a little more seriously. Many of these changes are to facilitate that direction.
- Either tonight or tomorrow a "Raider's Pledge" will be posted in the guild forum. We'd like people interested in progression to /sign the post. It's totally voluntary, but is a way for you to state your commitment to guild progression. It will contain both a list of raider responsibilities, as well as a list of things that raiders should expect the guild to do for them.
- Guild officers will be getting more defined responsibilities. All officers still have full authority, but we want people to know where to go when they have a question or issue.
- We are working on a new recruiting push. I'll be publishing a guild application system on the site for us to direct potential recruits to.
- On that note, Sariae will be our new Recruiting Officer. If you group with someone you think would be a good fit for our needs as a guild, please direct them to her in-game.
- We are planning to adjust raid start times to be about half an hour later, to give people more time to get to raids. We've noticed that a lot of people each week sign up with notes that they'll be a bit late, so hopefully this will help everyone feel prepared and relaxed. I think the better organization of start times and elimination of tardiness will more than make up for starting a bit later.
- Off-spec loot will no longer give you GP. The appointed council will make sure that off-spec loot is "spread around" evenly.
- KT/Maly loot will remain on the EPGP system. At the beginning of every 25 man raid, a loot council will be defined. This will usually consist of the raid leader or loot master, an officer, and 3 random people from the raid. The ONLY function of this council is to step in if there are any loot disputes, i.e. someone in blues receiving an ilvl 226 weapon over someone who's only upgrade left in Naxx is that piece of loot.
- Some details of EPGP may be tweaked in the next week or two, such as decay amount. Any potential adjustments will be voted on on the guild forums before being implemented.
I may have forgotten a few things, so stay tuned.
See you all tonight for the KT kill!
